Concentration Area: Interdisciplinary Language Studies
Research on the relationship and interaction between language, literature, and other manifestations of linguistic expression, focusing on topics related to society, history, and culture, arising from activities related to text, discourse, enunciation, discursive traditions, literary manifestations, and identity construction.
Description of Research Lines:
- Line 1 – Linguistic, Textual, Discursive, and Enunciative Analyses:
Studies from various theoretical perspectives (Theory, Linguistic Analysis and Description, Textual Theories, Enunciation, Discourse Analysis, and Discursive Tradition) that take language, text, discourse, and enunciation as objects of analysis and theorization.
- Line 2 – Literary, Cultural, and Historical Analyses:
Studies under different theoretical perspectives (Literary Criticism, Postcolonialism, Society, and Literary History) that lead to research addressing the relationship between Identity/Otherness, Society, and Literature, considering historical, cultural, and social processes through:
- The historicity of literary discourse,
- Literary mimesis and interpretation of history,
- The literary-artistic field and its institutions.
